The Singapore Sports Fan Says…

No change in Dollah’s condition. Please continue to pray for him

Latest update:

There has been no change in Dollah Kassim’s condition. The Singapore football legend and 1970s Malaysia Cup hero remains unconscious in the Intensive Care Unit of Tan Tock Seng Hospital. This is the third day that he is in a coma.

While the good news is that his condition has not deteriorated, the badnews is that there are now fears that he may have suffered brain damage from the heart attack that caused him to go into a coma.

Doctors say that Dollah’s heart stopped pumping for almost 20 minutes before he was brought to the ambulanc which then took him to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. They fear that this period of deprived oxygen may result in brain damage.

They also say that if Dollah continues to remain in a coma or does not respond to external stimulus in the next few days, then there is a possibility that brain damage has been suffered.

This is all very, very sad news.

My prayers go out to him and his family who are keeping vigil at the hospital. Please, please keep him in your prayers too and pray for him to recover from this unscathed.

Yours in sport
