List of swimmers who have qualified for this year’s SEA Games

Here’s the list of A and B qualifiers for this December’s South-east Asia Games in Laos following the conclusion of the 5th National Swimming Championships on 14 June 2009.

Please note the selection criteria for the SEA Games as set out by the Singapore Swimming Association below:

Criteria for selection for the 2009 South-east Asia Games in Laos:

i. The Singapore Swimming Association will recommend the top two qualifiers for each individual event.

ii. Category A – Qualifying times must be equal or faster than the bronze-medal winning time of the 2007 SEA Games

iii. Category B – Category B qualifiers will be considered to fill vacancies in individual events that are not being filled by Category A qualifiers.

iv. 4x100m and 4x200m freestyle relays: The four fastest swims in the 100m and 200m freestyle will be considered for selection provided their aggregate time beats the bronze-medal time of the 2007 SEA Games

v. 4x100m medley relay: The top or fastest swimmer in the 100m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Freestyle shall be considered, provided their aggregate time beats the bronze-medal time of the 2007 SEA Games.

vi. The final composition of the relay teams will be decided by SSA’s High Performance Team and appointed coaching staff  during the Games.

Pang Sheng Jun: 200m IM, 400m IM

Marcus Cheah: 400m IM

Ho Wei Ming: 400m IM

Nicholas Tan: 100m free, 100m fly

Ng Jia Hao: 100m breast

Mark Tan: 200m breast

Women’s:

Quah Ting Wen: 50m free, 100m free , 200m free, 400m free

Amanda Lim: 50m free, 100m free, 200m free

Mylene Ong: 50m free, 100m free, 200m free

Tao Li:  100m free, 100m back, 100m fly, 200m fly

Koh Ting Ting: 200m fly

Koh Hui Yu: 100m free, 400m free

 Shana Lim: 100m back, 200m back

Cheryl Lim: 200m breast

B Qualifiers:

Men’s:

Marcus Cheah: 200m free

Joshua Lim: 200m free

Danny Yeo: 100m free, 200m free

Nicholas Tan: 200m free

Rainer Ng: 2o0m fly

Jeffrey Su: 50m free, 100m free

Clement Lim: 100m free

Mark Tan: 100m breast

Yeo Jia Chen: 100m back

Women’s:

Ho Shu Yong: 50m free, 100m free

Koh Hui Yu: 200m free, 400m free

      Yes, I am aware that this is not the complete list. But thanks for pointing this out nonetheless, I should have made it clearer in my post that the overseas swimmers have not been included
